Singing toilets

Konnichiwa minna-san!
Chewy here (you may call me Der Chewster) and from now on I’ll be bringing you photojournals of the Misadventures of a frying Dutch Chinaman directly from the mecca of manga. As this is my first blog I suppose introductions are in place. My full name is Xiao wei Li, A Dutch-born Chinese. I’m a student at the faculty of Industrial Design at TUDelft and for my final year I’ve decided to go to Japan as an exchange student to follow lectures and do research (though the real reason is to indulge myself in Japanese pop-culture of course ^^).For the next 3 and a half months I’ll be reporting in from Tsukuba (45 min. ride to the North from Tokyo).  Now what I was planning to bring you in these blogs is a slice of my student life over here in the form of pictures with obviously retarded comments and perhaps some tips for if you’re ever planning to go to Japan (which all of you Japan-o-philes should be doing anyway, if not, what are you still doing here?).Now, I imagine you have lots of better stuff to do than reading badly written pieces of text by yours truly so without further ado the actual photo-blog:

blogpost    Well that’s about it for the first post. It’s a bit much perhaps, but even this is only a small excerpt. If you wanna see some more pictures then check out my flickr page: http://flickr.com/photos/25294668@N04/If you liked the blog (or if you hate me and wish me to die) please drop a comment or mail me at chewyli@gmail.com

Signing out and taking a dump in a singing toilet,

That one really cracked me up. I love how you’re taking shots of things that japanese will prob find very normal, but is so bizar to us.

Be save on your epic journy to revolutionise japansese design. (Japan needs more mills and tulps.) May the force be with you. Also take some fancy doujinshi with pretty pictures for me. I’m realy bored.
